McDonald’s 20 Oct Menu: Chicken McWings UK Debut & Prices

Prices are approximate and vary by restaurant.

Mark your calendar: McDonald’s UK is dropping four brand-new menu items on Tuesday 20 October 2026 — the second wave of its World Menu Heist campaign. The headline act is a UK first: Chicken McWings, arriving from China after years of fans asking for them. Alongside the wings comes Spain’s McExtreme burger, Germany’s Twix White Salted Caramel McFlurry, and Singapore’s Peach x Sprite Zero.

But there’s a catch. Three existing Heist favourites — the Big Rösti, Maple & Cheddar Chicken and Guava x Sprite Zero — are leaving the menu to make room. So the next few days are your last chance to try them.

This is an independent guide and we’re not affiliated with McDonald’s Corporation. All four new items are limited-time, availability varies by restaurant, and prices below are typical UK figures — your local branch may charge a little more or less.

The four new items: what’s launching on 20 October

Chicken McWings — from China (£3.49)

The big one. For the first time ever, McDonald’s UK is serving chicken wings. The Chicken McWings are crispy-coated chicken wings with a crunchy bite — the product UK fans have been requesting on social media ever since the first Heist wave landed without them.

You get three portion options:

  • 3-piece (side) — around £3.49
  • 5-piece — around £5.49 on its own, or around £7.19 as a medium meal
  • 10-piece sharing box — around £8.99, available exclusively through the McDonald’s app

The wings work as a side with your usual order, a standalone snack, or — with the app-only 10-piece box — a shareable option. If you’re planning a Halloween gathering, that sharing box arriving just in time for party season is no coincidence.

The McExtreme — from Spain (£8.99)

Spain’s contribution is aimed squarely at beef lovers. The McExtreme packs two 100% British and Irish beef patties with bacon, crispy onions, cheese slices and a creamy baconnaise sauce, all served in a toasted glazed sesame seed bun. Think of it as a bigger, bolder take on the classic bacon cheeseburger.

  • Burger only — around £8.99
  • Medium extra value meal — around £11.09

Twix White Salted Caramel McFlurry — from Germany (£2.69)

Dessert gets the Heist treatment too. This McFlurry swirls McDonald’s soft dairy ice cream with a Twix White Salted Caramel mix — biscuit, white chocolate and caramel notes — and finishes it with a salted caramel sauce topping. Sweet with a savoury edge, and available in two sizes:

  • Regular — around £2.69
  • Mini — around £1.99

Peach x Sprite Zero — from Singapore (around £2.39–£2.89)

Singapore’s entry mixes Sprite Zero with a peach-flavoured syrup, served over ice — a fruity twist on the familiar lemon-lime fizz. Interestingly, McDonald’s has hinted this one “might just stick around a little longer” than the other limited-edition items, though nothing permanent has been confirmed.

One note on price: press reports differ slightly on this drink (£2.39 vs £2.89), so treat the figure below as approximate.

What’s leaving: last chance before 19 October

The arrival of wave two means saying goodbye to three wave-one favourites. According to McDonald’s original Heist announcement, the Big Rösti (Germany), Maple & Cheddar Chicken (Canada) and Guava x Sprite Zero (India) are scheduled to remain available until 19 October 2026, making way for the new items on the 20th.

If you haven’t tried the Big Rösti — the rösti-potato-topped burger that anchored the September launch — this weekend is your final window. For the full timeline of what’s leaving when, see our World Menu Heist end-date guide.

What’s staying: the rest of the Heist menu

It’s not all change. Six items from September’s original wave are sticking around for the coming weeks:

  • Chicken & Egg McMuffin — around £4.39 (breakfast hours only)
  • Chicken & Bacon McMuffin — around £4.59 (breakfast hours only)
  • Paprika McShaker Fries — around £2.29
  • Mac & Cheese Triangles — around £2.89 (sharebox around £7.09)
  • S’mores McFlurry — around £2.69 (mini around £1.99)
  • Szechuan Sauce — around £0.70

These remaining items were originally scheduled to run until 16 November 2026. Combined with the four new arrivals, that makes October the biggest month the World Menu Heist has ever had. And if you’re looking ahead, our November 2026 menu guide covers what’s expected next month.

October deals running alongside the launch

The new items land in the middle of a busy deals month. Reported app offers in October include a £9.99 Family Combo Deal launching 19 October for two weeks (app-only), plus delivery-only offers through the app. For the complete picture of this month’s discounts, check our October 2026 deals guide.

FAQ

When do the new McDonald’s menu items launch?

Tuesday 20 October 2026, in restaurants across the UK and Ireland — part of the World Menu Heist 2.0 campaign’s second wave.

How much are Chicken McWings?

Around £3.49 for 3 pieces, £5.49 for 5 pieces, or £7.19 as a 5-piece medium meal. A 10-piece sharing box is reported at around £8.99 and is only available through the McDonald’s app.

What’s leaving the McDonald’s menu on 19 October?

The Big Rösti, Maple & Cheddar Chicken and Guava x Sprite Zero — all three are scheduled to be available until 19 October 2026, with the new wave replacing them on the 20th.

How long will the four new items be available?

McDonald’s hasn’t announced end dates for the new wave. The remaining wave-one items are scheduled until 16 November 2026, so a similar-length run is plausible — but that’s our reading, not an official date. Try them early rather than late.

Can I order the 10-piece McWings box in the restaurant?

No — the 10-piece sharing box is exclusive to the McDonald’s app. The 3-piece and 5-piece options should be available in-restaurant, at the drive-thru and for delivery as usual.

Is the Peach x Sprite Zero staying permanently?

Not confirmed. McDonald’s has hinted it “might just stick around a little longer” than other limited items, but there’s no official word on a permanent addition.

The bottom line

The 20 October wave is the most exciting Heist drop yet for one simple reason: Chicken McWings are a genuine UK first, and the McExtreme looks like a serious burger. Get there on launch week if you can — limited-time items have a habit of selling out, and with three favourites leaving on the 19th, the menu is about to look very different. We’ll update this guide the moment McDonald’s confirms end dates for the new items.
