Prices are approximate and vary by restaurant. Some October offers below are reported in the trade press and have not yet appeared on McDonald’s UK’s public website — always check the McDonald’s UK app for the live deals before you order. Last updated October 2026.
October is turning into one of the best months of the year for McDonald’s UK bargains. The Snack Wrap is back on the Saver Menu, a £9.99 Family Combo is reportedly on the way, and the app is carrying a stack of time-limited freebies — from free Breakfast Wraps to a free large Coca-Cola every Thursday to Sunday.
Here’s every offer worth knowing about, when each one runs, and how to claim it.
The £9.99 Family Combo Deal (from 19 October)
The headline act: trade publication QSR Media UK reports that McDonald’s will introduce a £9.99 Family Combo Deal from 19 October, running for two weeks. It will reportedly be available exclusively through the McDonald’s app, for both pick-up and delivery.
Full contents of the bundle haven’t been confirmed publicly yet, so treat the details as provisional — but a sub-£10 family bundle would be one of the cheapest ways to feed a group this autumn. Keep an eye on the app’s offers tab from the 19th, and check our October menu items guide to see what’s new alongside it.
Snack Wrap deals: £1.99 and the Meal Deal Plus angle
The Snack Wrap’s October return is the month’s biggest menu story, and it’s priced to move: £1.99 on the Saver Menu since 11am on 6 October. The new version keeps the crispy chicken select, lettuce and tortilla, but swaps the cheese for a black pepper mayo.
It’s also available as both the main and the bonus side in the Meal Deal Plus promotion — a main, medium fries, a bonus side and a medium drink for £5.95. Two Snack Wraps in one £5.95 deal (one as the main, one as the bonus side) is a genuinely cheap double-up, and one of the better-value combos on the menu right now.
App-only freebies running now (6–18 October)
McDonald’s is running several delivery-only offers through the app this month, according to trade reports:
- Free Breakfast Wrap when you spend £15, running 6 to 18 October — handy if you’re ordering breakfast for the family or the office.
- Buy-one-get-one-free McChicken Sandwiches — also running through the app in the same window.
Both are described as app-exclusive, so they won’t show at the kiosk or till. If you’re ordering in that window, it’s worth checking the offers tab before you pay — the freebies are time-limited and could sell through their allocation early.
Free large Coca-Cola, every Thursday to Sunday
A longer-running freebie: reports say customers can get a free large Coca-Cola when spending £5, every Thursday to Sunday, from 3 October to 26 November. That’s nearly two months of weekend drinks covered.
The £5 threshold is easy to clear — a Saver Menu burger and fries will do it — which makes this one of the most accessible offers of the season. As with the other October deals, confirm it in the app before ordering, since McDonald’s hasn’t published the full terms on its website.
Rewards points for experiences: Duolingo, Merlin and ODEON
MyMcDonald’s Rewards members can swap points for more than food this month, according to the same reports:
- 2,000 points for three months of Super Duolingo, from 20 October to 16 November.
- Until 16 October: 2,000 points for a buy-one-get-one-half-price offer on standard tickets to selected Merlin attractions (Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, LEGOLAND), or £60 off a Gold or Platinum Merlin Annual Pass. We’ve covered this one in detail in our half-price Merlin attractions guide.
- Until 2 November: 750 points for 50% off a standard ODEON ticket (standard 2D films, redeemable online or in cinemas).
If you’ve been sitting on a points balance, October is a good month to spend it — points offers rotate, and these experience redemptions are some of the best value the scheme has offered.
How to claim October’s offers
Almost everything this month runs through the MyMcDonald’s app, so the basics matter:
- Download the app and opt in to MyMcDonald’s Rewards — you earn points on every order, and the offers tab is where the time-limited deals appear.
- Check the offers tab before every order — October’s deals are app-exclusive and rotate fast.
- Pick-up or delivery — most of these offers cover both, but a few (like the mid-October freebies) are described as delivery-only.
- Watch the dates — the freebies have hard end dates, and the Heist items start leaving on 19 October too (see our World Menu Heist end-date guide).

Frequently asked questions
Is the £9.99 Family Combo available in restaurants?
According to trade reports, it’s app-exclusive — available for pick-up or delivery through the McDonald’s app only, not at kiosks or tills. McDonald’s hasn’t published full details yet.
When does the free Coca-Cola offer run?
Reports say every Thursday to Sunday from 3 October to 26 November, with a £5 minimum spend. Check the app to confirm it’s live at your restaurant.
Can I earn Rewards points on these offers?
You earn points on app orders as normal, and points can be redeemed separately for the food and experience rewards listed above. Points can’t usually be combined with other discounts on the same item — check the terms in the app.
Do these offers vary by restaurant?
Yes — prices and participation can vary, and some restaurants opt out of specific promotions. The app shows what’s actually available at your local branch.
What’s the best value deal this October?
For pure food value, the Snack Wrap Meal Deal Plus at £5.95 is hard to beat. For families, the £9.99 Family Combo (from 19 October) looks like the one to watch — if the reported details hold.
The honest take
October’s line-up is genuinely strong — but it’s also heavily app-dependent and, for the newest offers, still thinly confirmed. The Snack Wrap pricing and the Merlin rewards offer are solid (multiple reports, plus McDonald’s own app listings), while the family combo, free Coke and Duolingo details come from a single trade report so far.
The practical move: check the app’s offers tab before every October order. The deals are real enough to be worth the 30 seconds, and the freebies have hard end dates you don’t want to miss.
